FAQs

What determines the price of the translation of a document?
Price is determined by the number of words in the original source language document.
As a general rule and common industry standard, when translating from English to a Romance language (French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, etc.), the target word count will normally be about 20% higher than the source word count.
Translation pricing depends on the level of complexity of each document. Highly specialized technical texts: technical and pharmaceutical patents, engineering/architecture projects and software.
A general letter (with non-technical terms) will be priced at the lowest price per word while complex legal documents and will be at a higher price.

What is your billing method?
Partial payment upfront and the remaining upon delivery of the translation.

What are your fees for interpreting services?

Fees for in-person interpreting services begin at $45 per hour. Services are usually for a minimum of two hours. It is customary to pay for travel time and mileage to cover interpreters’ transportation expenses to areas greater than 30 miles.
